What Will You Do


Communication and Public Affairs, your responsibilities revolve around managing and enhancing the reputation and image of an organization or individual. You play a crucial role in shaping and conveying messages to various stakeholders, including the media, employees, customers, and the general public.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the development of strategies and programs for Communications and Public Affairs objectives, including reputation management, policy advocacy, sustainability and social impact communications. Interface with a wide range of external as well as internal stakeholders, including leadership team and functional teams across the company.
  • Research and define best practice in social outreach. Define key platforms, employee amplification and policy guidance and a content calendar.
  • Monitor the internal and external environment to ensure corporate integrity is established and fostered consistently across the culture, products and services, leadership, and operational aspects of the business.
  • Provide communications support to facilitate media engagements and corporate positioning. Equip and coach senior executives, develop materials including talking points, speeches, and slides to support the external engagement opportunities of the designated spokesperson(s).
  • Provides leadership for executive/senior level stakeholder engagement on our Healthy Lives Mission, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, and Community Impact work.
  • Ensure a robust Corporate Affairs stakeholder and issues management strategy is developed and executed for the Indonesia business priorities.
  • Provides advice and collaborates with key business leaders on media and governmental issues to develop contingent strategies business and or crisis management. Support the leaders with best-in-class processes and proactive planning and response. This includes localizing statements, addressing media enquiries, implementing crisis mitigation plans, and building capability and preparedness of senior leaders.
  • Responsible for engaging with media- print, electronic, online to build and protect the reputation of the company. Build valued relationships with key media and influencers – understand reporter and outlet needs, key topics, identify market trends and develop compelling local message platforms for influencers.
  • Create and execute strategies to shape and influence regulations and policy in partnership with the business.
  • Develop and implement integrated multi-stakeholder outreach and public relations programs to drive business objectives and enhance the company’s reputation and business enablement.
  • Partner with marketing to build reputation and engagement for our brands. Help develop PR programmes for our iconic brands, working alongside the Commercial, Cross-functional, and regional teams to advance our brand priorities. Develop a cadence of consumer stories that elevate our storytelling, can be used within communication programs and showcase local heroes.
  • Develop and implement an integrated employee engagement strategy that informs a cadence of impactful employee programs and internal communications to drive business objectives, keep employees informed, engaged and energized about the accomplishments of the organization as well as the exciting, future opportunities of JJCH. This includes the employee intranet and portal, email updates and newsletters, video addresses, townhalls etc. Develop a framework to enable functions and teams to contribute, publish and participate in internal communications.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to convey messages clearly, concisely, and effectively is crucial in this role.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital communication channels, including social media platforms, to enhance the organization's presence and engage with target audiences.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and the ability to measure the impact and effectiveness of communication efforts.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in communication, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Relevant work experience 7-10 years in communication, public affairs, public relations, media relations, or a related field is typically required. The level of experience may vary depending on the seniority of the position.
  • Proficiency in writing and editing, including press releases, speeches, articles, reports, and other communication materials.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex issues and develop effective communication strategies.
