Cloud Operations Engineer Jobs

We are part of ST Telemedia, a strategic investor in communications and media, data center's and infrastructure technology businesses globally. STT Cloud is currently combining the portfolio business to create a unified technology consulting business with a presence in Singapore, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Roles & Responsibilities-

• Perform regular security reviews, document systems, processes, and procedures
• Identify and act quickly on opportunities to enhance customer experience
• Implement pro-active monitoring for better availability and performance
• Ensure that our applications and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust
• Assuring effective communication to customer stakeholders in the event of a service disruption, degradation or outage to make sure that they receive the latest updates as our operations teams work to restore full service
• Provide remote support and resolution for complex technical issues
• Continuously improve skills, product expertise, and knowledge on related technical topics
• Stay current with system information, changes and updates
• Validate the architecture and use cases of Microsoft and Amazon services in the customer support cycle
• Install, configure, administer, and monitor systems

Desired Profile-

• Strong customer-centric mindset and ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative and effective relationships internally and externally
• Well versed with OS patching.
• Familiarity with the disaster recovery process and reporting security breaches is desired
• Experience in Linux including Red Hat, Centos, and Ubuntu is a must.
• Well acquainted with IaC such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.
• 2-3 years combined Windows/Linux system administration experience including 1-2 years of hands-on experience with AWS/Azure based deployments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of Compliance standards and rules for PCI, SOC2, and HIPAA is required
• Experience in troubleshooting applications and infrastructure in an enterprise environment
• Experience with cloud monitoring solutions is a plus, (i.e. AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, New Relic, Pingdom, and PagerDuty API integration)

Preferred Qualifications-

• Automation experience a plus; Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in computer science or related discipline.
• Relevant AWS/Azure certification
• Basic knowledge on container technology
• Scripting knowledge on Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell,
• Hands-on experience on any other Cloud platform
