Buyer (Processing) Jobs

The role of the Specialist Buyer is responsible to fulfill and ensure the material request being purchased on timely manner as committed in key performance of Procurement specialized for Processing Commodity.

Key Accountabilities:

• Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships.
• Follow up and resolve of discrepancies
• Preparing competitive retail and pricing strategies under contract.
• Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
• Preparing budgets and forecasting purchasing trends.
• Prepare CMP (Contract Management Planning) and raise the FPA Contract
• Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
• Sourcing suppliers base on price, requirement, availability, quality, and delivery cost.
• Compiling reports on product performance and statistics.
• Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders.
• Establish and maintain close communication within internal department, Finance and other SCM and Procurement/Services department.
• Processed all purchase requisition from client/users in timely manner and follow company standard operational procedure.
• Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the Superior
• Coordinating with logistic and forwarder to ensure timely deliveries.
• Prepare bid evaluation report and recommendation for purchase award
• Coordinating with Inventory Control (IC) to maintain stocks level and inventory in warehouse.

Requirements:

• Has minimum 4 years’ experience in similar role as Buyer in open pit Mining with similar scale and handling similar Process commodity;
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Excellent computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software program and has experienced as Ellipse user
• Good organizational & project management skills.
• Experience in Buyer / Purchasing high dollar items and preparing complex Purchase Orders or Purchase Contracts.
• General understanding of the Indonesian business, legal system, company law, immigration, manpower, tax, importation, mines and energy regulations;
• A Bachelor degree in Industrial engineering or related field with minimum 7 years’ Buyer/ Purchasing experience preferably within a large mining organization.
• Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with high attention to detail.
• Previous experience in SAP would be preferable;
