Technical Writer Jobs

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions. This candidate should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. This individual will also meet with customer representatives frequently in order to understand required content.

Responsibilities

• Proofread technical documentation produced by junior technical writers
• Learn quickly and deeply about a highly technical product and translate that knowledge into documentation that is clear and easy to understand
• Work closely with developers and product team to write and revise technical documentation and prepare it for publication with a high focus on clarity, accuracy, and usability
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Apply feedback on technical documentation from editors and subject matter experts
• Contribute to the company style guide
• Understand and be responsive to the needs of our users and help publish and maintain our online user documentation
• Collaborate with the Product Team and other stakeholders to develop new initiatives and strategies for documentation
• Dissect and critique technical documentation to contribute to its improvement

Qualifications

• Familiarity with content management systems for publishing documentation is highly-desired
• Familiarity with writing documentation for coding (React, Phyton, Flutter) is a plus point
• Experience in using web-based content creation tools is desired
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in written and verbal English language to succeed in a remote work environment
• Excellent time management skills
• 1-2 years of experience in technical writing or a related field
• Familiarity with writing documentation for developers is preferred
• Flexibility to adjust to work routines/schedules, as required, to meet the needs of the company and expectations of customers
• Experience with Git
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Computer Science, or related fields
