The Role

Your Role And Responsibilities

• To collect error event & statistics and detach failure via network management tool.
• Monitor and ensure on the availability and fault detection on selected critical network connections and network components.
• Monitor LAN/WAN and internet connections availability by using network management tool, alert end users when failure and to conduct corrective action plan for meeting the SLA.
• Provide report regularly.
• Administer and provide Move, Add, Change on the routers, switches, and other network devices configuration.
• Maintain and manage the routers, switches, and other network devices configuration version.

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :

• Network Security: The specialist should have knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, VPNs, and network access control.
• Network Administration: The specialist should have expertise in network administration tasks, such as configuration management, patch management, and network device configuration.
• Network Protocols: The specialist should have a deep understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, and FTP.
• Network Virtualization: The specialist should have knowledge of network virtualization technologies such as virtual LANs (VLANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Routing and Switching: The specialist should have expertise in routing and switching technologies such as OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and STP.
• Network Troubleshooting: The specialist should have expertise in troubleshooting network issues, including packet capture analysis, protocol analysis, and log file analysis.
• Network Performance Monitoring: The specialist should have expertise in monitoring network performance, including network traffic analysis, bandwidth utilization, and network device monitoring.

Preferred Professional And Technical Expertise

• ITIL Framework: The IT Specialist Network should have a good understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework, including ITIL terminology, processes, and best practices.
• Industry Certifications: Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are required for IT Specialist Network, as they demonstrate a high level of technical expertise.
• Teamwork and collaboration: IT server specialists should have strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, share knowledge, and foster a positive work environment.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies: IT server specialists should keep themselves updated with the latest emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve and suggest innovative solutions to business problems.
• Communication Skills: The specialist should have strong communication skills to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with colleagues, and write technical documentation.
