Job Description
An excellent Quality Manager (Garment) job has just become available at one of the top player for garment manufacturers in Central Java. Your main responsibility is to support the process quality in the factory.


About The Quality Manager (Garment) Role


Due to their commitment to provide excellent products to the customers, the Quality Manager will play a key role in the quality management of raw materials, process, and finished goods.


Key Responsibilities


  • Undertake coaching and counselling to minimise problems that will arise related to the performance of subordinates
  • Monitor quality in cutting, printing embro, and sewing to reduce the number of defects
  • Develop fabric mock ups to ensure good fabric quality
  • Control and analyse the results of fabric quality testing from each supplier to ensure fabric quality meets buyer standards
  • Conduct garment wash tests to ensure the quality of the garment
  • Monitor colour grouping, grammatical shrinkage test, colour fastness to washing, crocking test, pull testing, colour migration
  • Review the WFT report and decide how to maintain garment quality every day
  • Develop QA/QC activity plans and ensure their implementation to achieve predetermined targets
  • Review AQL, SQR, Beautiful Product, Po Passrate, Adicomp Return, Warehouse claim, MiQuality to ensure the accuracy of report data and provide a CAP (Correction Action Plan) for each customer compliance


With attention to detail, you will take the lead in quality management of the products to succeed in this Quality Manager (Garment) role.


Key Requirements


  • In-depth understanding of garment manufacturing processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as textile engineering, quality management, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Experience in developing and implementing quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards for garment production
  • Proficiency in implementing and maintaining a robust quality management system (QMS) within the garment factory
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards in the garment industry, such as ISO 9001 or specific garment quality standards
  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of quality inspectors or quality assurance personnel
  • Familiarity with garment production machinery, equipment, and their capabilities
  • Proven experience working in quality management roles within the garment or textile industry, preferably with experience in managing quality control in garment production
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), or Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Understanding of common quality issues and defects in garment production and the ability to identify and address them
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate quality requirements, procedures, and expectations to different stakeholders, including production teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of different fabric types, construction techniques, and garment components
