Project Officer Jobs

MPH Bali is looking for a Project Officer and a passionate person that can become an integral part of our small Bali-based team. We are looking for support through our community assistance program and need a self-motivated person with high-level interpersonal and communication skills. We are looking for someone that is capable to work with communities and collaborate with stakeholders.

Project Officer

Location and placement : Bali

Minimum duration of placement: 1 year

Start date : As soon as possible

Job description:

1. Play an active role in managing, developing, and supervising community assistance programs in building a waste management system to achieve a circular economy scheme.
2. Perform community assistance activities based on project work plan and timeline.
3. Provide technical and non-technical consulting on waste management.
4. Train women cadres on waste separation and community-based waste management practices.
5. Design socialization activities and assist Eco-Champions in waste management educational activities for the community.
6. Provide training for material management facility staff and monitor SOP implementation.
7. Record field data on waste management and analyze village waste management data.
8. Collaborate and connect with stakeholders inside and outside the village to maintain the sustainability of waste management.
9. Able to conduct mapping for sustainable opportunities of the waste management program at the village level based on empirical observations and authentic data.
10. Prioritize communication and coordination to maximize teamwork in developing a waste management system in the village.

Qualification:

1. Commitment to the Merah Putih Hijau missions
2. Strong desire to learn and work with the community to achieve common goals
3. Minimum of 1-year experience in working with the community (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
4. Able to speak Indonesian properly and correctly, and have basic English skills. Skills in Balinese are a plus.
5. Good work ethic, friendly, energetic, and open-minded
6. High-level interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
7. Ability to work under general direction, self-motivated, and organized
8. Significant understanding of local and global environmental issues
9. Have good analytical skills and problem-solving skills in the field.
10. A strong sense of responsibility for the organization and on the field
