Prestasi Junior Indonesia is part of one of the world’s largest youth-serving NGOs, Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, which focuses on preparing young people for employment and entrepreneurship.

Prestasi Junior Indonesia is currently seeking Program Officer based in Makassar.

Program Officer will work to administer the youth entrepreneurship program called Student Company in Makassar. Primary tasks range from program preparation to program reporting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out administrative tasks related to Student Company program.
• Monitor Student Company program activities to ensure the program runs in accordance with the plan, budget, and schedule.
• Report the Student Company program implementation and program impact to the respective Senior Program Manager in writing and in the format that has been agreed upon.
• Evaluate ongoing Student Company program and provide a progress report to the respective Senior Program Manager.
• Conduct teacher training and/or other training related to Student Company program.
• Identify and outreach potential beneficiaries.
• Implement the Student Company programs in accordance with the timeline and schedule.
• Conduct mentoring sessions and assist beneficiaries regularly to develop and improve their businesses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, such as local governments, schools, and sponsor.

Qualifications

• Contract Period: June 2023 – May 2024 (1 year).
• Relevant professional experience, preferably working for an NGO.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
• Good computer skills, especially MS Office and online meeting platform, such as Zoom, Gmeet, and Teams.
• Willingness to assume a range of unanticipated tasks and work with flexible hours, including weekends.
• Exposure to voluntary activities would be an advantage.
• Well-organized, able to set priorities, and able to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.
• Highly impact-driven and results-oriented with a good work ethics.
• A relevant university degree. Preferred majors include education and economy.
• Knowledge of entrepreneurship curriculum would be an advantage.
• Passionate in teaching and working with youth.
• Good communication and public speaking skills.
• Based in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
