Job Description

Job Summary:

The Videographer is responsible for capturing and creating high-quality video content for various purposes, such as marketing, advertising, social media, training, events, and more. This role involves planning, shooting, editing, and delivering compelling visual stories through video. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of videography techniques, equipment, and video editing software to produce visually engaging content.


Responsibilities:

Video Production:

  • Operate cameras, lenses, audio equipment, and other necessary tools to capture high-quality footage.
  • Plan and execute video shoots, ensuring proper lighting, framing, and composition.
  • Record interviews, events, products, and other subject matter as required.

Video Editing:

  • Trim and rearrange clips, add transitions, titles, graphics, and visual effects to enhance the video content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team or clients to align with the desired message and brand guidelines.
  • Edit and assemble raw footage into a coherent and visually appealing final product.

Storytelling:

  • Use visual storytelling techniques to evoke emotions and create engaging narratives.
  • Develop creative concepts and storyboards to effectively communicate ideas through video.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues during shoots and seek solutions promptly.
  • Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of cameras, lenses, audio gear, and other video equipment.

Collaborate with Teams:

  • Coordinate with other team members, such as photographers, directors, and production assistants, to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Work closely with the marketing, creative, and content teams to understand video requirements and objectives.

Stay Updated with Industry Trends:

  • Keep abreast of the latest video production techniques, tools, and trends.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge to enhance video quality and storytelling.

Post-Production and Delivery:

  • Export and render final video projects in various formats suitable for different platforms and purposes.
  • Archive and organize video files for easy accessibility and future use.


Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of video composition, lighting, and color grading.
  • Strong skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in operating various cameras, lenses, audio equipment, and lighting setups.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas through video content.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various departments and clients.
  • Proven work experience as a Videographer or similar role.
  • A portfolio of previous video projects showcasing diverse styles and genres is highly desirable.
