Part-time Reporter & Researcher - Remote WFA

Our team intends to train more in-house reporters & researchers on a part-time basis by producing routine content according to our standards so that they can also support us in executing future partnership projects.

Weekly routine workload: Produce 1 routine content (around 4-5 hours)

Criteria

• Willing to work independently, with little or even no daily supervision.
• Strong and solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• A generalist, comfortable and agile to explore and jump into different topics within sustainable development.
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a given time.
• A strategic and conceptual thinker who is able to execute ideas to the finish line.
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., open-minded, flexible, willing to suspend judgment, respectful): A good team player, willing to learn and practice our values and culture internally and externally with all stakeholders.
• Strong willingness to learn, a fast learner to catch up with our integrated platforms and sustainable development.
• Strong work ethics in a professional setting.
• Strong analytical skills to read, interpret, and utilize materials and data from different credible sources.
• Strong attention to detail (detail-oriented)
• Strong communication skills (e.g., active listening, empathy, honesty, respect) in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Being experienced in writing, editing, and researching sustainability and sustainable development is a plus.
• Willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Experienced working in NGOs / communications consulting firms is a plus.

What You Will Do

• Produce well-researched news and stories according to Green Network’s editorial standards and style that reflect the company's ideals.
• Identify and propose relevant topics, communities, and stories to showcase.
• Join and get involved in meetings and training to improve your skills and maintain your relevance in the business.
• Work closely with the editorial and design team to ensure the timely delivery of content production.
• Catch up with relevant reading lists as part of continuous learning and development.
• Get involved in projects.
• Accept requests from the editorial team on relevant topics, communities, and stories to showcase.
• Use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize visibility in search results.
