Job Description

Responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of media operations, including:


  1. Media planning and strategy: Develop media plans and strategies to reach target audiences effectively, based on market research, consumer insights, and campaign objectives.
  2. Media monitoring and analysis: Monitoring and analyzing media performance, including tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of media campaigns, analyzing media data and metrics, and providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  3. Media coordination and execution: Coordinating media schedules and placements, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of media plans, and managing relationships with media vendors and partners.
  4. Content management: Managing content for various media platforms, including websites, social media, blogs, and other digital channels, ensuring that content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
  5. Market research and trend analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and trend analysis to identify media opportunities, consumer behaviors, and industry trends that inform media strategies and tactics.
  6. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, creative, and sales, as well as external partners, such as media agencies, vendors, and influencers, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of media plans.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in media planning, buying, and management, and apply them to optimize media strategies and tactics.


Overall, the role of a media specialist is crucial in ensuring that media operations are effectively planned, executed, monitored, and optimized to achieve marketing and business objectives.



Job requirements of media specialist:

  1. Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as communication, marketing, or media is a plus. Advanced education or certification in media or digital marketing is also considered a plus.
  2. Work experience: Previous work experience as a media specialist or related role in the media or marketing industry is expected. Experience in managing social media, advertising campaigns, or digital content will be an advantage.
  3. Media and trend knowledge: Having a solid understanding of various media platforms such as YouTube, web, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media, as well as staying updated with the latest trends in the media and marketing industry.
  4. Analytical skills: Able to analyze media data and metrics to measure the success of campaigns and provide valuable insights for optimization and data-driven decision-making.
  5. Managerial skills: Able to manage a team or media content, ensuring smooth media operations, coordinating schedules, and interacting with vendors or external partners.
  6. Content skills: Proficient in managing media content, including writing, editing, graphic design, or video production, following brand guidelines and established messages.
  7. Communication skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with internal teams, vendors, or external partners, and communicate with the target audience through the managed media.
  8. Creativity: Ability to generate creative ideas in developing media campaigns, content, or marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  9. Budget management skills: Ability to manage media budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient and effective use of budget in media campaigns.
  10. Resilience and flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-changing environment, face challenges, and have resilience and flexibility in adjusting media strategies with policy changes or market trends.
  11. English language: Good proficiency in English, both oral and written, as media often has a global influence and requires communication in English.
