The role of the Manager Mobile Fleet Management is responsible for planning, leading, guiding and implementing a national strategy for the purchase, maintenance and servicing of the truck fleet, heavy mobile equipment and motor vehicle fleet fleet.
Key Accountabilities:
- Implement a national maintenance system to achieve clarity and analytical data across the business on maintenance trends and costing;
- Provide technical support on best method of repair to company equipment;
- Ensure best utilization of surplus equipment and refurbish equipment as planned when possible;
- Oversee monthly compliance and maintenance budget.
- Organize fleet associated purchasing including price/contract term negotiation, capital expenditure preparation and final documentation preparation for approval;
- Ensure all fleet including new leases and purchased equipment are fully insured at all times and assist with yearly renewals;
- Oversee the upgrade of the mobile asset fleet including light vehicles, truck trailers, and other mobile equipment;
- To reduce fleet operating costs without reducing response time. They are responsible for the entire life cycle of all fleet assets. This position is the central point of contact with the vehicle suppliers and provides support to branches and manufacturing plants;
- Manage company mobile fleet including replacements, lease extensions and new vehicle benchmarking;
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge of DOT regulations, governing the use of commercial vehicles, as well as strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and design characteristics;
- Have minimum middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognize by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position;
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organization from senior management to site leaders and Operations Crew, and other Stakeholder; Very good organizational skills with the ability to effectively priorities tasks and work both independently and as part of a team; Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with high attention to detail; You will be part of a high performance team within Operations Services dedicated to continuous improvement, your diversity of thought, energy and practical experience will be highly valued;
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master Degree in Engineering and Maintenance and Fleet management or other related field; or a combination of education and relevant experience;
- Have 15 years working professional and knowledge of fleet management and maintenance program in Mineral Industry; At least 5 years of experience in a similar role as Manager Mobile Fleet management;
- Knowledgeable of the practices and procedures involved in researching, comparing, and purchasing vehicles, equipment, and supplies;
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
- Have understanding and demonstrate experience in integrated Plant Maintenance and Material Module, preferably SAP will be added value;
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA regulations to establish safety policies and procedures for fleet service operations;
- Proven ability to manage functions and activities related to the procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles;
