Job Description
Responsibilities


  • Assisting with corporate governance: Legal staff members may assist with corporate governance matters, including preparing board resolutions, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements.
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance: Legal staff members may assist with ensuring that the office complies with all applicable regulations and laws, including drafting policies and procedures and monitoring compliance (OJK).
  • Managing litigation: Legal staff members may assist with managing litigation, including preparing pleadings, managing discovery, and assisting with trial preparation.
  • Conducting legal research: Legal staff members are responsible for conducting legal research on various topics related to the office's operations, such as regulations, compliance issues, and consumer protection laws.
  • Collaborating with other departments: Legal staff members may collaborate with other departments within the office, such as risk management, compliance, and finance, to ensure that legal issues are addressed and managed appropriately.
  • Providing legal advice: Legal staff members may provide legal advice to the executives and employees on a variety of legal issues, such as contract interpretation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts: Legal staff members are responsible for reviewing and drafting contracts for the office, including loan agreements, security agreements, and other legal documents.
Requirements


  • Collaboration: Legal staff members should be able to collaborate effectively with other departments within the internal and external legal counsel as needed.
  • Ability to work independently: Legal staff members should be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in law or a related field
  • Knowledge: Legal staff members should understand banking and financial regulations and legal principles and procedures.
  • Ethics and Integrity: Legal staff members must be ethical, and honest, and maintain a high level of integrity in all aspects of their work, especially given the sensitive nature of legal matters.
  • Experience: prefer candidates with prior experience working in a law firm, corporate legal department, or other legal environment. Experience in banking, finance, or regulatory compliance may also be preferred.
  • Skills: Legal staff members should have excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex legal issues and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Attention to detail: Legal staff members must be able to pay close attention to detail and ensure that legal documents and other materials are accurate and error-free.
