Junior Network Administrator (Tangerang)

The Junior Network Administrator is a member of the Office of Information Technology. This individual will assist the team members with support, maintenance, and optimization of core network services, devices, and communications systems. The Jr. Network Administrator will work alongside the senior infrastructure team members to provide logistical support, respond to queries, document changes, and assist with testing, assessment, diagnosis, and resolution of network service outages and incidents. Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Director, Strategic Analytics, this individual will maintain network systems and may configure devices, enable services or respond to end-user requests for network status information. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Strategic Analytics and may provide the opportunity to join them in participating in informal and formal network learning opportunities and is expected to support the APAC region as a whole.

Primary Responsibilities

• Uphold and keep current all network security standards and policies.
• Configuration and management of Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, Switches and Routers (if needed)
• Respond and fix network and endpoint-related issues and reduce downtime and delays.
• Update and maintain the network documentation and change request forms.
• Assist with management of Network Services by troubleshooting network issues, installing of new equipment, supporting phone systems, and other Network functions as needed.
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of the IT environment (Routers, Switches, Servers, Cabling, etc.)
• Ensure network accessibility to all employees and remote support staff.
• Update/create all required documentation and align with business processes and policies
• Troubleshoot Asterisk-based call routing and provider issues.
• Maintain system configuration and standards for all network equipment.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
• Assist users with hands-on IT support for their devices as needed.
• Responsible for local network infrastructure & related equipment
• Respond and fix network and endpoint-related issues and reduce downtime and delays
• Provide assistance to other IT staff for maintaining SLAs and uptime.
• Assist users on-site and in-region with network-related issues.
• Install, administer, and test network servers, operating system software, printers, AV equipment, cabling, and other related network components/equipment.
• Respond to Network escalations emanating from our Managed Service Providers (MSP).
• Provide guidance to network users during responses to emergency work requests; troubleshoots network failures and errors; and diagnoses, isolates, and resolves routine network related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations.
• Create/Manage servers in VMWare virtualization environment utilizing VMWare VCenter.
• Document and maintain network diagrams and schematics.
• Update/create all required documentation and align with business processes and policies.
• Maintain Microsoft 2008, 2012, and 2016 server operating systems.
• Responsible for local network infrastructure and related equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of communication systems for data, voice, and video.
• Experience with (and/or certifications for) Cisco routers and switches.
• Working knowledge of computer networking and cabling infrastructure, including firewalls
• Working knowledge of computer systems, peripherals, and communications equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Experience with LAN switching (PVST+, 802.1q trunking, VLAN).
• Effective verbal and written communications with team members and vendors.

Experience/Education

• Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Fluent in English.
• 3+ years of work experience in information technology in a role such as Jr. Network Administrator, IT Specialist, or related work field.
