Intermediate Back End Developer

:We are looking for a talented and passionate Intermediate Backend Developer with expertise in Laravel to join our UI/UX agency with a 2-month contract. As an Intermediate Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems to support our web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with the UI/UX design team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
2. Design and develop efficient, secure, and scalable backend solutions using the Laravel framework.
3. Build and optimize RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
4. Implement database structures, including migrations, models, and query optimization.
5. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
6. Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of backend systems.
7. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate front-end designs and ensure a seamless user experience.
8. Work closely with DevOps engineers to deploy and maintain backend applications in production environments.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in backend development and web technologies.
10. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues and provide timely support to the development team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in backend development using the Laravel framework.
3. Strong knowledge of PHP programming language and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
4. Proficiency in Laravel framework and its ecosystem, including Eloquent ORM, migrations, and caching.
5. Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing efficient SQL queries.
6. Familiarity with RESTful API development and integrating external APIs.
7. Solid understanding of web development principles, including HTTP, cookies, and sessions.
8. Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
9. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitFlow).
10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with other PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, CodeIgniter) is a plus.
2. Knowledge of frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js) and their integration with backend systems.
3. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deploying applications using services like AWS Elastic Beanstalk or Laravel Forge.
4. Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Knowledge of caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached) and optimizing application performance.
6. Experience with writing unit tests and familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit).
7. Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment and deliver projects within deadlines.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team.
