Information Security Manager Jobs

Position Summary:

Information Security Manager's main responsibility is to implement and maintain IT security within the company as needed. These role responsibilities are to prevent incidents related to information security (i.e unauthorized access to the company database, etc) and respond to data breaches, as well as should be knowledgeable about security frameworks and systems. This role also involves understanding and taking steps to mitigate the risks associated with collecting, storing, and transmitting data in business settings.

Area of Responsibility:

Safety Measures and Data Recovery Plans

• Analyze IT specifications to assess security risks
• Inspect hardware for vulnerable points of access
• Design and implement safety measures and data recovery plans
• Install, configure and upgrade security software

Monitor Network Activity

• Act on privacy breaches and malware threats (detect any unauthorized attempts to access the system)
• Train other employees on security best practices
• Identify issues early and communicate them to the related team(s)
• Serves as a security expert and conducts training when needed
• Perform security audits on the network

Policies and Guidelines Drafting

• Update policies and guidelines regularly to remain competitive in the field of security
• Communicate the policies (socialization) and keep cross-functional stakeholders informed accordingly
• Keep technical knowledge through continuing education
• Analyze existing security-related policies and make recommendations for changes or improvements
• Work with TEC team (i.e. infrastructure, development) to create security standards across all company networks

Position Requirement:

• Min. 3 years experience in Information Technology, especially Information Technology Security or Cybersecurity
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols (SSL/TLS)
• Programming skills are preferred
• Knowledge of patch management, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Knowledge of IT security governance, risk, and control (GRC)
• Knowledge of current security risks and protocols
• Min. Bachelor (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related degree
