Position Overview

We're seeking experienced Full-stack Ruby Developers to join our team on a contract basis for upcoming projects. As a Full-stack Ruby Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in building cutting-edge web applications that drive efficiency and innovation for our enterprise clients. This is a fully remote position, with occasional meetings for sprint planning at the project's outset and post-project delivery. Our work environment emphasizes agility, with weekly sprint planning and reviews, as well as daily huddles facilitated by a chatbot to ensure both work progress and team flexibility.

• Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure the delivery of robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our projects.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Ruby on Rails for backend and modern frontend technologies for user interfaces.
• Participate in agile methodologies, including weekly sprint planning, reviews, and daily huddles (facilitated by chatbot via Slack) for efficient communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement secure coding practices and data protection measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user data.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal application performance.
• Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components of web applications.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create seamless and user-friendly interfaces.
• Work closely with business consultants to understand client needs and provide technical insights for solution development.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proven experience as a Full-stack Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues.
• Prior experience in a remote work setting is a plus, demonstrating self-motivation and time management.
• Experience working in an agile environment with tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
