Tips: As a Formulation Scientist specializing in cosmetics and household products at PT Tanshia Consumer Products, your role will involve developing, optimizing, and evaluating formulations for the company's personal care and home care product lines. You will contribute to the creation of innovative, safe, and high-quality formulations that align with the company's brand and meet customer demands.

Tanggung jawab

1. Research, design, and develop new formulations for cosmetics and household products, considering product functionality, sensory attributes, stability, and safety.
2. Identify and evaluate raw materials, active ingredients, and additives for use in formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards.
3. Conduct stability studies to assess the physical, chemical, and microbiological stability of formulations under different storage conditions, ensuring product integrity and shelf-life.
4. Establish quality control protocols, conduct testing and analysis of formulations to ensure they meet internal specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Ensure formulations comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and labeling requirements for cosmetics and household products.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of formulation development activities, including formulation recipes, procedures, specifications, and testing results.
7. Collaborate with process engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth transition from laboratory-scale to large-scale production, optimizing production processes and troubleshooting any formulation-related issues.
8. Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory teams, including troubleshooting formulation-related challenges, evaluating alternative ingredients, and recommending process improvements.

Kualifikasi

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in formulation development for cosmetics and/or household products, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
3. Strong understanding of cosmetic and household product formulation principles, including ingredient functionality, stability considerations, and formulation techniques.
4. Familiarity with regulations and guidelines specific to cosmetic and household product formulation, such as ingredient restrictions, labeling requirements, and safety assessments.
5. Proficiency in formulating a variety of cosmetic and household product types, such as creams, lotions, shampoos, cleaners, etc. Knowledge of analytical techniques used in product testing and characterization.
6. Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, and develop unique formulations that meet consumer expectations and market trends.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address formulation-related challenges, troubleshoot issues, and propose effective solutions.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings, and write technical reports.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting experiments, recording data, and following protocols.
10. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and coordinate with different stakeholders.
