Financial Controller


Job description

This position will be a critical role within the Finance Division reporting directly to the Country General Manager and dotted line to Regional Financial Controller and be a strategic business partner of business line heads in managing the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal and external audit and ensure implementation of agreed upon recommendations resulting from the audit findings
  • Responsible for all tax issues: tax calculation, payment of taxes and tax reporting
  • Manage the monthly closing for All accounts and preparation of financial reports.
  • Provide an opportunity to grow, demonstrate career path plans and development plans
  • On ad hoc basis, participate in projects and support the business and finance activities including system implementation and process standardization
  • Timely submission of accurate monthly reporting deliverables to Regional Finance
  • Responsible for yearly budgeting, bi-monthly cash flow performance, pricing, billing to customer, invoice vendor, collection and All payment of invoices and procurement process.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members in terms of finance and accounting expertise
  • Monthly Profit and Loss Analysis
  • Work collaboratively with Regional Finance for appropriate accounting treatment for transactions and events which require the application of significant professional judgement
  • Responsible for funding process (Capital Injection or Shareholders Loan)
  • Monitor and review COD Reconciliation and payment COD to customer
  • Review journal entries for accruals, revenue recognition and preparation of variance analysis
  • Manage and monitor Accounts Receivables, accrued revenue, Accounts payables and others balance sheet items
  • Be proactive to ensure a culture of trust
  • Motivate and develop team members


Qualifications

  • Leadership skills in managing and coaching a team
  • Have experience as external auditor and good knowledge in investment will be an advantage
  • 10-12 years of experience with strong exposure in business controlling
  • Excellent analytical and decision making skill
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics
  • Strong hands-on experience in Logistic industry
  • Ability to interact with key external and internal stakeholders like the Auditors, Tax Authorities, and Department Head
  • CPA/CA certification would be an advantage
  • Able to join immediately
