We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team for a 1-year contract. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data replication or change data capture (CDC), as well as proficiency in utilizing various data engineering tools and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) platforms, such as IBM DataStage, Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, and SSIS. Previous involvement in banking projects is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Work on banking projects, leveraging your experience to deliver tailored data solutions.
• Implement data replication and change data capture strategies to ensure accurate and timely data synchronization.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of the organization's data systems.
• Utilize ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines for the organization's data needs.

Qualifications:

• Solid problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and data architecture principles.
• Proficiency in one or more data engineering tools or ETL platforms, such as IBM DataStage, Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, or SSIS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in data replication or change data capture (CDC).
• Prior experience working on banking projects is a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
