About The Role

You'll be responsible for the pastry execution!

Reporting to the Chef de Partie Pastry, you will absolutely need previous hands-on experience in all menu design and recipes.

About You!

You must have a wealth of experience but bring your mark on everything sweet, there are no limitations to what you can create or plate up. We provide flexible rostering; good work-life balance and your role is a critical part of the kitchen family with bags of development opportunities.

• Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients
• Meeting with customers to discuss details and planning of custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings.
• Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
• You work fantastically under pressure, are cucumber cool and a natural-born leader who gets things done
• Good knowledge of WHS, food hygiene and efficient kitchen processes
• Assist in menu planning, implementation and execution
• You are a hands-on Commis Pastry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar cutting edge hospitality environment
• Your team think you're absolutely fabulous and you LOVE to train your peeps
• Assist for food preparation and managing wastage for your section
• Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
• Bring your on-trend ideas, new dishes, new concepts and new menus to make our food offering the best in the area
• Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
• You will enjoy being on tools and bringing our creations to life
• Assist in the development through innovative and original menu planning and maintenance of high food standards
• Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships at all times
• Developing new recipes for seasonal menus.
