The Role

The Civil/Structure Superintendent isresponsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of construction of new facility complex. This includes coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

The Superintendent aims to attain or exceed profit goals and promotes workplace safety while meeting or exceeding company expectations. They also promote a positive company image and is the leader on every project, ultimately responsible for its operation success.

Key Responsibilities:

•Ensure contractors dimensional control methods for checking that all works are properly set out and satisfactory. Supervise specialist surveying contractors when necessary.

•Ensure all quality control checks and tests are instigated, with records maintained and available as required for concrete mix design, batching operations, concrete pour, foundation release, structural steel installations, bolt tensioning, grouting release, area release etc., all in accordance with contractors’ agreed ITP, method statements and project specifications. Where applicable supervise the testing laboratory.

•Ensure effective control and design of all falseworks, shuttering and formworks. Check that access roads/routes and equipment are in accordance with practical temporary works procedures and calculations. Where necessary, ensure competent technical review of temporary works design etc.

•Ensure contractors carry out all excavations and trenching in a logical fashion, minimizing site disruption and that they provide safety barriers, signage, and trench crossings in accordance with the HSES requirements.

•Ensure contractors working at height protocols are strictly followed during structural steel and roofing installation.

•Prepare And Submit Weekly Reports.

The Person.

•5+ years of experience in the heavy Civil / Structural construction (ideally specializing in structural concrete works and Building Steel Structure Installations i.e. Piling, Foundations, road construction, Building framing and Steel Erection, etc.)

•Must have at least 5 years’ experience of supervisory experience as a Superintendent

•Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.

•Passion for safety

•Working knowledge of computers and experience using Microsoft Office.

•Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule.

•Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills

•Strong leadership and management skills

•Working knowledge in standards, specifications, codes, regulations, and laws

•Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.

•Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

•Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.

•Genuine concern & sense of urgency

•Ability to keep up morale on the job.

•Applicable for Batam (Indonesia) resident.
