As a Backend Web Developer in a Tour Marketplace Company, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain the server-side components and infrastructure that power the company's online platform. You will work closely with the development team to design, implement, and optimize server-side functionalities to support the company's tour marketplace operations. Your role will involve coding, database management, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the backend systems.

Responsibilities

Backend Development:

• Implement and integrate third-party APIs for payment gateways, geolocation services, and other system dependencies.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or PHP.
• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deploy server-side applications and APIs.

Database Management:

• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures and backup strategies.
• Develop and optimize database queries, indexes, and stored procedures for improved performance.
• Design and maintain the database architecture, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

API Development and Integration:

• Collaborate with the front-end development team to define API specifications and ensure smooth integration.
• Integrate external APIs for data exchange with third-party platforms and services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the backend systems and front-end applications.

Performance Optimization and Scalability:

• Monitor server resources, identify potential issues, and implement scaling strategies to handle increased traffic and user demand.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and improve overall system responsiveness.
• Conduct load testing and performance tuning to ensure the platform can handle high traffic volumes.

Bug Fixing and Maintenance:

• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure reliable and stable backend functionality.
• Investigate and debug reported issues, identifying root causes and implementing necessary fixes.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, bug patches, and security enhancements.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proven experience as a backend web developer, with a strong understanding of server-side programming and web application architecture.
• Understanding of version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and the ability to design, develop, and integrate APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications and experience will also be considered.
• Experience with web frameworks and technologies such as Django, Ruby on Rails, Spring, or Laravel.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or PHP.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with database design, optimization, and query optimization.
