Job Description

Job Summary

Be responsible on short and long term company plan, understanding profit and loss of the spa department, ensure all policy and procedure implemented as well as supervising daily operation of all staff to make sure thus standard are met guest satisfaction


Responsibilities

Each area of responsibility requires a number of actions to take place for their successful

outcome. The following actions are indicative and may vary/evolve as needed

General operations

●Monitor requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.

●Ensure adequate administrative record keeping and cash control procedures are implemented and maintained.

●Maintain systems to maximize security of stock throughout the department.

●Ensure minimum operating standards are adhered to in order to achieve the level of service in the Spa.

●Handle all guests complaints, requests and enquiries on departmental services.

●Establish a rapport with guests to maintain good customer relationships.

●Maintain a high profile with guests within the spa.

●Attend spa meetings with GM to discuss operational matters and strategic developments as and when required.

●Develop and maintain effective channels of communication throughout the departments and other department

●Make suggestions to improve the spa treatment & spa menu

●Attend daily morning meetings.

● Ensure all team members are aware of and adhere to the hotel and spa policy and procedures.

●Provide a courteous and professional service at all times

●Make suggestions on improvements on SOP(s) and update every 6 months.

●To acknowledge all written guest comments and follow up.

●To ensure standards are met and maintained with the use of checklists.

●To follow up on all housekeeping issues. To ensure the high standards of cleanliness in the department

●To report and follow up on repairs and maintenance of the department to Engineering team

●To undertake regular market comparison surveys to understand and keep abreast of the competition.

●To ensure team members report for duty punctually and wearing proper uniforms.

Training and Development

To arrange yearly treatment refresher training with in house spa trainer

To assist in the training of spa team members within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and

methods of service are maintained.

To develop departmental trainers and assign training responsibilities.

To identify training needs and plan training programs for Team members.

To ensure all team members are trained in hotel orientation, hotel promotions and Service Recovery.

To ensure all team members who need to, are integrated in English classes and participate in all Hotel training

programs.

Assists with Hotel Orientation, training and other special courses when required.

To assign responsibilities to subordinates and to conduct the Performance Management periodically.

To assist in the building of an efficient team of team members by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety

and development.


Policy & Procedures

●Maintains a high standard of appearance and grooming at all times

● Apply and adhere to rules and regulations as per Employee handbook, departmental and hotel’spolicies and

procedures, including those for the emergency situations

●Develop and maintain an understanding of the overall organization’s mission, vision and values.

●Handles any guest’s complaint in a professional manner, as per Hotel’s Policy & Procedures.

●Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Indonesian Law.


Qualifications

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  2. Previous experience in the same role in the spa industry
  3. Capacity to build strong, positive professional relationships with clients
  4. Strong attention to detail with good time management and follow up
  5. Passionate about guest service
  6. Solid leadership, training and organizational skills
  7. Certified Yoga Teacher, Tai Chi & Fitness instructor will be an advantage
